Vintage Moroccan Boujad Rug-Ametrine
MOROCCAN BOUJAD RUG
The boujad rug comes from the Haouz region of Morocco, an area in the middle Atlas mountains. As with all rugs, the boujad rug represents the weaver, where her story is expressed in rich geometric patterns, and varying colors, often pinks, reds, and purples. These rugs are increasingly rare and difficult to find, as their popularity has soared in recent years.
What I love about this piece: The color palette on this rug, though woven about 40 years ago, is on point for design today. This piece would look stunning in a space with a bare aesthetic, or mid century house with simple lines.
Colors: Orange, Brown, Pink, Turquoise
Age: Vintage, from approximately 30-40 years ago
Condition: Good. This is a vintage piece which has been professionally cleaned and repaired, but please expect one-of a kind imperfections that add to it's wonderful history. Please note that in the photos, those shot outside are the true color, which is more subtle than the single indoor photograph.
The Good Rug: My small business was born out of a personal love for textiles and travel. I live on the East Side of Detroit, and travel frequently to Morocco and Turkey, to hand-pick rugs that I find both beautiful and eclectic. I choose only the highest quality pieces that I would want for my own home, and support small businesses and weavers in each country. I give to women-centered organizations around the world and my local community of Detroit with a portion of my profits.
Shipping: I offer free domestic shipping to the 48 continental states, via USPS, UPS or Fed Ex from Detroit, Michigan. I ship the product within two to five business days of the order, and provide tracking. Please track your rug carefully as I cannot be responsible for packages after they are marked as delivered. For orders outside of the continental US, please contact me for a quote.
Returns: I always want you to be happy and love your rug. Please review photos and descriptions carefully, and ask me any questions prior to a purchase. If you decide you don't love the rug within 7 days, I offer a store credit, minus the cost of shipping you the rug. You are responsible for return shipping, and the rug must be returned int he condition in which it was sent.
