A note from Annie, curator of the Good Rug:
There are a few rugs that are super precious in my collection, and this is one of them! It was woven by expert weavers, deep in the Atlas mountains, many moons ago. It's absolutely stunning, even more so in person.
The Boujad rug comes from the Haouz region of Morocco, an area in the middle Atlas mountains. As with all rugs, the rug represents the weaver, where her story is expressed in vibrant geometric patterns, and varying colors, often pinks, reds, and purples. These rugs are increasingly rare and difficult to find, as their popularity has soared in recent years.
